Nurse Practitioner Pathway Hub: On-Demand Webinar & Resources

Access the Complete Digital Education Package

The landmark VCAT decision in Tzimas v Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia [2026] VCAT 60 has changed the conversation around advanced practice and Nurse Practitioner endorsement for nurses working in medical aesthetics.

This on-demand digital education package gives you access to ABIC’s complete Nurse Practitioner Pathway for Aesthetic Nurses: Explained webinar, presented by ABIC Councillor and Nurse Practitioner Nektaria “Nicky” Tzimas and ABIC CEO and Director Stefanie Milla.  You will also receive access to the supporting Nurse Practitioner Pathway resources developed to help aesthetic nurses understand the decision, explore the pathway and begin building a strong, evidence-based professional profile.

This is not simply a summary of the VCAT decision. It is structured education designed to give nurses, clinic leaders and supervising prescribers greater clarity, practical direction and a more informed understanding of the pathway ahead.

Your Digital Access Includes

  • The complete 92-minute webinar recording
  • The NP Pathway Easy Reference Guide
  • The full webinar attendee and briefing resources
  • Access to the landmark VCAT decision
  • Guidance on beginning and strengthening your evidence file
  • The Nurse Practitioner pathway map
  • Updates on ABIC’s advocacy and engagement with Australian universities
  • Additional resources and university responses as the campaign progresses

Once you have purchased your ticket, you will receive access to the private Nurse Practitioner Pathway Hub, where the webinar recording, resources and campaign updates are available in one central location.

What You Will Learn

Through the webinar and supporting resources, you will gain a clearer understanding of:

  1. What VCAT determined and why the decision is significant for specialist aesthetic nursing practice
  2. The key sequence of events leading to the decision and why the timing matters
  3. The difference between the National Law, approved registration standards and non-binding guidance—and how they interact in real decision-making
  4. What advanced practice can look like within a specialist aesthetic setting
  5. Why advanced practice is assessed across the overall nature of a nurse’s work, rather than requiring every individual task or working hour to be classified as advanced
  6. How to begin building an endorsement-ready evidence profile through case studies, supervision records, clinical governance, escalation pathways, education and professional leadership
  7. Common misunderstandings about the decision and what it does—and does not—mean for aesthetic nurses
  8. How ABIC is working with Australian universities to advocate for clearer and fairer access to approved Master of Nurse Practitioner programs for suitably experienced aesthetic nurses
