ABIC-self-regulation-page SELF REG COMMITTEE RESIZED

ABIC Self-Regulation Committee

ABIC Self-Regulation Committee

Welcome to a transformative journey towards a safer, more professional, and ethically responsible beauty and aesthetic industry in Australia.

In three short years since its launch, ABIC has been providing support, fostering unity between the varied sectors of our industry, and building strong alliances with government bodies, diverse industry associations, while establishing trust with industry professionals by contributing much needed guidance, assistance and education. We have come a long way, in a short amount of time and we are at the cusp of a significant shift.

What we have seen is that transformation takes time and perseverance, and that government moves slowly when it comes to positive impactful change, and too reactively, without seeking first to understand when it comes to what it perceives as threats.

After much groundwork from generous and tireless volunteers and industry contributors, we are now ready for a unified, national self-regulation body to oversee and uplift the standards of our thriving, diverse and evolving industry.

Self-Regulation will:

  • Ensure Correct, Controlled, Fair and Consistent National Regulation
  • Improve Client Safety
  • Enhance Quality Assurance
  • Raise Accountability and Ethical Standards
  • Drive Industry Growth and Pioneer Innovation
  • Foster Global Competitiveness
  • Nurture Public Trust and Confidence

Australia's beauty and aesthetics industry stands at a pivotal juncture in its development. The establishment of a national self-regulatory body is indispensable for the preservation of client safety and the sustenance of elevated standards. At ABIC, we ardently champion the creation of this pivotal framework, poised to elevate the beauty and aesthetics industry in Australia to new echelons of excellence and most importantly, the stability that has been lacking over the past two decades.

We urge you to join us on this transformative journey towards a more secure, professional, and ethical future, as we endeavour to make a lasting and positive impact on both the industry and the lives of countless clients.
